Create a Character for Me, Please?
I am writing a story, and I have recently encountered a slight problem . . . I need to create at least SIX new characters for the novel (which I really just can’t do on-demand) to be the crew of a ship (they will be major characters), so can you guys help me out?
*Race can include the following: Human, elf, demon (not necessarily evil), fairy (butterfly-sized), nymph (sea or wood), shade (the night-loving counterparts of elves), or werebeings (sort of like werewolves, except there are more than just wolves, can invoke changes at will, and will always have some sort of characterstic of their animal even in their human form – like a werehawk might have feathers sprouting out of the side of his face. )

Appearance: Like a large wolf but with large green cats eyes and the slick shiny fur of a black panther also a long sleek tail, broad chest, high shoulders, and a silver-black spiked mane that runs from between its ears to the center of its back.
Personality: Calm, wise, with the capacity for great ferocity.
In human form – tall, broad chested, and lean – same green eyes, with a slick black beard and eyebrows. Also Gilleland
’s hands and feet are unusually heavy and broad with traces of the slick black hair from when transformed. When Gilleland smiles large teeth are displayed that are unusually white and numerous.

How far should the sinker be from the hook?
I do freshwater fishing, mainly in lakes. I usually tie the sinker about 8 inches from the hook.
I use spinners mostly for bait, but I want to use small live fish also .
You didn’t say what you were fishing for or what bait you are using.
I would never tie a weight on either, try a little egg sinker and slip the line thru it tie on a small swivel. To the swivel tie on a leader of light mono, length depends on what your using for bait and where your fishing, then your hook.
Spome applications have you tie the weight on the end of the line and then tie a loop about 16-24″ above it and add your hook then,
The point is that you want to feel a bite and thefish should not feel the weight. You’ll get more bites and more fish.
At times I do not use any weight just freeline a bait so it can swim.
